Jim & Maggie

"Your Kuya Jim is not really into having his photo taken, but he agreed to this because we will be doing it with you," Ate Maggie said this when we were prepping for the photo shoot. This made me all the more giddy and excited to get started. Looking at the photos now, I say, Kuya Jim did exceptionally well. He and Ate Maggie were so amazing and so natural. They were dressed in spring/summery colors and I loved how they popped out on each of every photos. They are one of the sweetest couples I know and I felt ecstatic that they both agreed to have this session with me. Needless to say, I definitely had fun doing this for them.

A Monterey Pre-wedding Session

Day 1.
The "warm-up" photoshoot. It was also a chance to get to know the couple a little bit more. I've known Jas for months  but it was just the second time I've met Jose. They were both a little shy in front of the camera but so was I behind it. It had been a long time since I did my last pre-wedding session. I was unsurprisingly worried. Yet, they were not too shy to listen to instructions and gave suggestions.

Day 2.
I met up with a more relaxed couple and was more comfortable to get on with our  planned shoot. We decided on 3 locations and the last one was at a beautiful sunset on a beach nearby. I believe it was an excellent choice to have everything planned at those locations, for at the short span of time that I have known the couple together I knew being close to nature and the beach was where they feel most  grounded and connected to. Their emotions and what they feel for each other came out naturally and it is seen in all of the photos.

New York City

These photos were taken back in February 2020 using my mobile phone. I went to visit New York City for the first time. I walked alongside the busy traffic, hopped in a travel bus & took the ferry to Liberty Island. I got to do all these and many more in the two-day tour I had in the Big Apple. The first two photos are the view I got of downtown Manhattan from Exchange Waterfront in Jersey City.

In those two days, New York City gave me nothing but cold and gloomy weather and rain. But, I must say, it made my photos come out more interesting. I would love to see New York City again. I would love to explore more, even in another cool and rainy day.

Rhea, Julia & Josef

I was already in town and driving towards ate Rhea’s house when I saw a beautiful tree with pink blossoming flowers and perfect picnic table underneath. Instantly, I decided that this would be one of the good spots for our photoshoot.

It was a Friday, 2 days before Mother’s day. We originally didn’t plan to have the shoot that day for we were all heading to Lincoln that afternoon. But the tree somehow was telling me that we could not have picked a more perfect time to have this special photoshoot session. Thank you ate Rhea for again supporting me in my craft, and thank you Julia and Josef for being awesome and the cutest in front of the camera!

The Songco Family

It was probably a year ago when I talked to Claire about doing a photoshoot for her and her family. It took awhile but I’m glad were able to make it happen in a day that had the most beautiful Nebraskan weather. I’m very much appreciating it right now because the infamous wind was again taking over the weather as I’m editing the photos.
